  • Proposal for a COUNCIL DECISION concluding a Protocol between the European Union and the Arab Republic of Egypt establishing a Dispute Settlement Mechanism applicable to disputes under the trade provisions of the Euro-Mediterranean Agreement establishing an Association between the European Communities and their Member States, of the one part, and the Arab Republic of Egypt of the other part

The decision concerning the protocol is taken according to so called assent procedure. So the opinion of the Council of the European Union will be predominant. Opinion of the European Parliament was only a consultation.

  • Proposal for a COUNCIL DECISION on the conclusion of a Protocol to the Partnership and Co-operation Agreement establishing a partnership between the European Communities and their Member States, of the one part, and Ukraine, of the other part, on a Framework Agreement between the European Union and Ukraine on the general principles for the participation of Ukraine in Union programmes

  • Proposal for a REGULATION OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL amending Directive 2001/18/EC as regards the possibility for the Member States to restrict or prohibit the cultivation of GMOs in their territory

In this case the decision is taken according to the ordinary legislative procedure. “No” from the European Parliament in the 2nd reading means that the project is definitely rejected.

  • Proposal for a REGULATION OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL amending Regulation (EC) No 1080/2006 on the European Regional Development Fund as regards the eligibility of housing interventions in favour of marginalised communities

In this case the decision is taken according to the ordinary legislative procedure. “No” from the European Parliament in the 2nd reading means that the project is definitely rejected.
